A Thoughtful Space for Individuals
Heather Lesley-Swan offers a rare and grounded space to reflect, recalibrate, and reconnect with what matters most.
With a background that spans law, psychotherapy, and corporate leadership, Heather brings a breadth of professional and clinical experience that is rarely available. Her work bridges the demands of the external world with the symbolic richness of the inner life, offering genuine support for those seeking clarity, renewal, or deeper meaning.
Jungian Foundations and Global Training
Heather is a Jungian Analyst trained at the CG Jung Institute in Zurich, and a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). She holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and postgraduate qualifications in Counselling and Communications Management. Among her many credentials is certification as an Ethics Educator.
Heather is internationally recognised as a senior educator and thought leader in Sandplay Therapy. She serves on the Board of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy (ISST) and was the founding Chairperson of STANZA, the Sandplay Therapy Association of New Zealand and Australia.
Corporate Insight Meets Clinical Depth
Heather’s early career began in law and evolved into senior roles in corporate and educational leadership. She has led her own global consulting company, trained in-house counselling teams, and presented public, in-house, and university-based programs across Australia, Europe, the UK, USA and Asia. These experiences enable her to comprehend both the visible pressures of professional life and the quieter struggles that can emerge beneath the surface—burnout, disconnection, inner conflict, creative block, or a yearning for a deeper purpose.
Her work is trauma-informed and draws on a range of psychological frameworks, including Jungian psychoanalysis, cognitive and schema therapy, narrative approaches, mindfulness, and Sandplay Therapy. Heather has a particular interest in autism spectrum implications and brings current understandings in neuroscience and the development of the capacity to symbolise to this work.
A Path Toward Wholeness and Inner Wisdom
Heather believes in the power of a safe, symbolic, and attuned therapeutic space to support genuine transformation. Whether you are coping with a crisis or transition, working through a complex personal pattern, or longing for a deeper understanding of your Self, she works with presence, depth, and care.
Heather delights in seeing people heal, flourish and grow. She helps individuals discover their own inner wisdom and build a strong, sustainable path toward wholeness and integration.
What People Say
"I was most impressed with both the high level of symbolic understanding that Heather was able to help her client move into and also her ability to convey the work in such a clear and concise way--with heart."

"Dora Kalff, founder of Sandplay Therapy, spoke often of the importance of creating a "free and protected space" in order for the client to experience healing and transformation. Heather's personal warmth and palpable inner stillness are I believe the personal qualities which make this possible for her clients. If you are seeking a therapist to truly journey with you, I can wholeheartedly recommend Heather Lesley-Swan."
